Kuala Lumpur: As of 6am Monday (Oct 11), water supply has been restored to 80% of the 50 areas in Kuala Lumpur affected by an unscheduled water cut following a pumping pipe leak at the Segambut Pump House on Sunday (Oct 10), says Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd.

The water concessionaire also said that water supply had yet to be restored to ten areas as at 6am Monday.

The ten areas are Anjung Tiara, Bukit Prima Pelangi, Bukit Segambut, Dutamas, Taman Bukit Sri Bintang, Taman Flora Impian, Taman Prima Impian, Taman Seri Bukit Segambut, Taman Sri Bintang, and Taman Sri Sinar.

“The duration of the water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the distance of consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the

distribution system.

“Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap runs until the water is clear before using it for daily consumption,” Air Selangor said in a statement Monday.

It also hoped consumers who had received water supply would use the water prudently to ensure that the recovery process in the other affected areas runs smoothly as scheduled.

Air Selangor also said consumers could refer to all its official communication channels – the Air Selangor

application, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or contact the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300 – to obtain information on the incident from time to time.

Inquiries and complaints can also be submitted to the Help Centre via www.airselangor.com and the Air Selangor application.
