Malaysian Nigel Ng, a London-based comedian who went viral for his portrayal of Uncle Roger, an Asian man who reviewed an egg fried rice video, will perform his Haiyaa World Tour Live on June 17, 2022 at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

“After two years, it’s a great feeling to be able to promote international live shows again. As a Malaysian, we could not be more thrilled that our first announcement is a tour headlining a fellow Malaysian!

“Nigel has made our country proud by breaking into the international comedy circuit with sold-out shows across the UK this November,” said show organiser Live Nation Malaysia’s managing director Para R. in a press release.

With over 39 dates for his upcoming world tour across Britain, North America and Europe, Ng will also perform in major Asia Pacific cities.Last year, Ng created waves on his YouTube channel (mrnigelng) when he reacted to BBC’s cooking host Hersha Patel’s version of an egg fried rice recipe.

In addition, his YouTube videos commenting on British chefs Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver’s versions of fried rice have garnered over 21 million and 17 million views respectively.

The host of podcast sensation Rice To Meet You has now amassed 70 million views on his YouTube channel and a combined following of over eight million across his social media platforms.

As a stand-up comedian, Ng has been nominated for the Best Newcomer Award for his sold-out show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2019 and multiple sold-out runs throughout Britain and Europe.

His TV credits include Comedy Central’s Stand Up Central and Roast Battle, BBC Two’s Mock The Week and ITV’s Jonathan Ross Comedy Club. In addition, he has been featured on Variety, CNN, BBC, The Guardian, SBS (Korea) and South China Morning Post (Hong Kong).
